Kayaking For Residents Of The Lower Mainland
We welcome all of British Columbia’s lower mainland residents, from White Rock to West Vancouver and everywhere in between, to come explore their own backyard with one of Kit’s day trips. The waterways surrounding the lower mainland are among our favorite spots for ocean paddling and the best thing about them is that they are easily accessible! Our company paddles weekly into Burrard Inlet and offers an assortment of day trips throughout the lower mainland. We always find the people who enjoy our trips the most are the ones paddling close to home so whether you are from Surrey, Tsawwassen, Burnaby or North Vancouver; we encourage you to come explore!
Who would you like to have fun doing with us?
Our Most Popular Day Trips: Deep Cove and Indian Arm
While we are available for custom day trips to anywhere surrounding the lower mainland, our most popular trip among residents of the area is definitely to Deep Cove. Those used to paddling kayaking the inland Pitt and Fraser Rivers always seem to love the change of pace of paddling in an ocean inlet. Deep Cove is located in Burrard Inlet and is just 15 minutes from downtown Vancouver but once you’re on the water, you will feel as if you’ve landed on another planet. The water here is often calmer than that on the open ocean, making this a great trip for paddlers of all ability levels. Those looking to go a little further can continue on to the beautiful Indian Arm and even more isolated Indian Arm Day / Night Kayak Tours...
Custom Trips Throughout the Lower Mainland
Our trips are not limited to those advertised on our website. Kayakers from throughout the lower mainland have contacted to take them paddling in their favorite spots in the area and we invite you to do the same. Residents of Lion’s Bay and Horseshoe Bay frequently ask us to take them exploring in Howe Sound, which is another one of our favorite spots that most people only see from the ferry or the Sea to Sky Highway. Residents of Steveston may want to paddle the South Arm of the Fraser River and downtown Vancouver residents are always curious about an urban paddle in False Creek and the English Bay. No matter where you are from in the lower mainland Surrey, Delta, White Rock, Richmond, Ladner, Tsawassen, Vancouver, Chilliwack, Coquitlam, Mission or Abbotsford, don’t count out the possibility of us coming to you with a custom trip!
Weekend Overnights: Back to Work by Monday!
Not everybody can take the time off work for one of our weeklong trips to Vancouver Island and for those people we recommend one of our overnight trips that leave on Saturday morning and return on Sunday afternoon. These trips are popular among those who want the backcountry paddling experience without falling behind on their work. Throughout the summer, we paddle to Indian Arm and into the Howe Sound for overnight trips. It’s a quick way to satisfy your need for an outdoor adventure!
Paddle Under the Light of the Moon
There is no better time to paddle than at night when the water is still and the moon is full. Throughout the year, in the winter snow or the warmth of summer, we offer night paddling. While it is brightest and most beautiful when the moon is full, night trips are always one of our favorite adventures. We typically paddle out at dusk and return after the moon has fully risen. Throughout the lower mainland, these trips are a favorite because people can fit them in on weekends or week nights!
