Sechelt and Pender Harbour Kayaking
KAYAK LAUNCH SITES
There are three main launch sites for trips to Nelson Island and Sechelt Inlet. Kit and company will let you know where you want to go and never hesitate to ask for a ride! The three spots are Pender Harbour, Sechelt and Egmont.
Getting to Sechelt and Pender Harbour
Hop on the Sunshine Coast (Langdale) Ferry from the Horseshoe Bay Ferry Terminal. Once in Langdale, hop on highway 101 and head north. You will pass through Gibsons first and then through Sechelt. You will see the Sechelt Indian Band’s offices along the road and if you have time, check out their museum. It is great to enjoy these trips with knowledge from the people who have lived here for centuries. There are plenty of places to eat and places to stay in Sechelt. There are also plenty of stores in case you forgot any trip necessities.
Those moving on to Pender Harbour should continue on the 101 through Sechelt. There will be signs indicating Pender Harbour and you will turn left onto the Madeira Park Road. The launch site is at the public wharf next to the marina.
